Overview

This one-year full-time master's bridges food science, business and culinary arts. Students build critical thinking, group leadership and strategic planning, along with problem solving grounded in innovation and integrity. The emphasis is on taking new food ideas into commercial production that is safe and healthy. The award is a Level 9 Master of Science worth 90 ECTS. Applicants normally hold a 2.2 honours degree in culinary arts or a related food discipline at NFQ Level 8, and graduates from non-food degrees are judged on experience. Graduates help the food industry stay competitive through cross-functional innovation.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Minimum second-class honours (2.2) bachelor degree in culinary arts or another food-related discipline at NFQ Level 8. Applicants with an honours degree in a non-food discipline are considered if their experience gives an adequate background. Conditional offers are possible for applicants without final results.
