Overview

UCC's Associate of Science in Information Technology gives students a fundamental grounding in computer science and IT, covering database design, fixing computer problems, building websites, and networking and security practice, with a focus on how specific computer applications solve everyday business problems. Students also get hands-on exposure to data analytics, applying a range of programming languages together with visualisation tools that employers currently want. The degree totals 61 credits and runs two years, delivered in a blended format that mixes campus teaching with online coursework. Graduates can continue directly into UCC's Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, building on the same foundation at degree level.
