This academic bachelor's programme prepares students for work in computer game development, where art, programming and storytelling meet. Teaching is in Latvian, and graduates receive a bachelor's degree in computer game design. The programme is accredited until 18 January 2030.
Study begins with the foundations of game development, taking a project from the first idea to a working prototype in both 2D and 3D settings. Students learn to code, test and prototype games, and they build artistic skills such as colour work, composition, character design, animation and computer graphics.
Further subjects include managing software development projects and working with virtual, augmented and mixed reality. The programme suits people who want to combine creativity with technical ability and take part in a game production process from concept to finished product.
