Diploma in Deja

This two-year short-cycle professional programme prepares leaders of dance groups. Studies are taught in Latvian across four semesters, with budget-funded and fee-paying places, and are held in Riga on Bruņinieku Street. Each year the programme admits students to one of four specialisations: contemporary dance, Latvian dance, hip-hop culture dance and jazz dance. Each specialisation has its own head, and students complete four placements during their studies. The qualification awarded is dance group leader, at the level of short-cycle professional higher education. International opportunities include Erasmus+ studies and placements, graduate placements, foreign government scholarships and summer schools. The programme director is Edmunds Veizāns, and the tuition fee is still to be specified.
