BA/BS in Aesthetic Cosmetology

This bachelor's programme prepares cosmetology specialists to assess how external and internal factors affect skin and health, perform cosmetic procedures using modern technologies, and manage the operations of a beauty-service business. Course units cover human anatomy and physiology, cosmetic chemistry and materials science, general cosmetology, pharmacology, massage, make-up techniques, skin diseases, and the business of beauty services, alongside applied research methodology and a final thesis. Students learn to analyse a client's skin condition and aesthetic needs, prepare short- and long-term cosmetic-care plans, and select cosmetic products, materials, and equipment according to their indications and contraindications. Practical training covers facial and body skin care, manicure and pedicure, and decorative cosmetics, carried out under hygiene, safety, and professional-ethics requirements across three internship placements. Graduates can work in spas, beauty salons, sanatoriums, rehabilitation and medical institutions, and cosmetics retail or cosmetology businesses.
