This programme teaches pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and computer science together, aiming to build critical thinking, advanced mathematical technique, computer programming ability, and clear communication of mathematical ideas. The curriculum allocates the largest share of credits to pure mathematics, with further credits in applications of mathematics, informatics, physics, a foreign language, practice, and a bachelor's thesis, while up to a quarter of the programme's credits can be chosen freely by the student. Graduates are prepared to work in high-tech, finance, consultancy, and IT companies, as well as in industry, science, and education, wherever analytical and abstract thinking combined with specialised software skills are required. Many continue to a master's degree in mathematics or a related field such as financial or actuarial mathematics, statistics, or computer science, and some go on to doctoral study in mathematics or computer science.
