Teaching and learning activities: It is the first and only Theater art and acting programme in Lithuania that would influence the expansion of the Lithuanian theatre tradition into the near abroad, as well as train specialists for Belarusian theaters, Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre or the establishment of independent troupes in Vilnius city or region. The highlight of the programme is a new in Lithuania integration of acting and directing mastery, dramaturgy studies and reinforced general humanities. Joint artistic research not only synthesizes these disciplines, but is based on the phenomenology and topology, which in our case changes the established historicalist and evolutionist perspective of the theatre sciences. This means a major paradigm shift in theatrical studies, liberating it from the ideological clichés our theatre art has inherited from its totalitarian past. It is about another perspective, at the core of which is artistic research, which in practice is very much related to the area (to a certain topos) in its spatial and topical sense. Both the methodological and geographical elements of the concept of European theatre are manifested here. All of this makes the programme unique, which of course will not be without fundamental stage motion, language, hearing practices, new techniques, and innovation in content and form expression (such as debating contemporary theatre vs IT issues). The programme is also valuable as a platform for revealing and exploring innovative insights into the relationship between society and the theatre arts, for strengthening this relationship (identified as quite erosive nowadays), for striking a balance between shared human values and collective views, for seeing the performance not just as a service or product, and the audience – not just as a consumer. Assessment methods of learning achievements: The study for each study subject is concluded with a differentiated assessment of students' knowledge and abilities (ten-point system applied) - exam or project (review). Student achievement at EHU (this programme included) is intended to be associated with excellent, typical, and threshold levels of assessment. The proposed program has an extremely strong focus on experiential studies and emphasizes the importance of projects, problem solving, simulation, and experiential learning methods. Access to professional activity or further study: Access to professional activity: There are four main directions for career opportunities for the graduates of the ‘Business Economics’ program: 1. Innovative Belarusian Business A huge wave of relocation of Belarusian business to neighbouring countries, especially Lithuania and Poland, gave a rise to a very specific situation. The majority of such relocated companies belong to the field of innovative business – IT, digital engineering, instrument engineering, etc. Such a class of companies traditionally has a strong demand for high-skilled economists with some specific skills. Given a mismatch between the rapid growth of such companies and the slower response of universities in the region, there’s a phenomenon of unsatisfied demand for such labour. Moreover, for innovative Belarusian firms after the relocation, this challenge is being amplified, as the corresponding labour supply in new host countries is either not sufficient, or they cannot rapidly and fully integrate into a new environment. Hence, numerous Belarusian firms that have relocated express a huge interest in the perspective of providing job opportunities to young Belarusians that have been equipped with the necessary competencies. The BA program 'Business Economics' is going to become a systemic response to this unique situation by providing students with knowledge and skills to be appropriate and demanded by innovative Belarusian businesses. 2. Further Academic Career Students will have a straightforward connection with Lecturers from high-ranked Universities from the US, UK, and other countries (as Guest Lecturers), will have opportunities for international collaboration, etc. This will establish a basement for further academic careers for the part of the students of the program. 3. Financial Industry The curriculum of the 'Business Economics' program is shaped to have an additional emphasis on frontier knowledge and skills in the financial industry. Given the outpacing development of this industry in the region (FinTech companies, banks, etc.) and some engagement of Belarusian businesses in this field as well will secure job opportunities for the graduates of 'Business Economics' in this sector. 4. Other Companies in Central and Eastern Europe The level of competencies acquired by the graduate of the program 'Business Economics' will be high enough to be competitive in the regional job market, which faces a shortage of high-skilled labour in numerous segments. Access to further study: After graduation the graduates will be able to study in the second study cycle programmes in the field of economics and related fields.
