MA/MS in Aquamatics

Taught in English as a double-diploma programme with the University of Silesia in Katowice, this master's in Aquamatics trains environmental engineers to analyse and model natural water phenomena using current information technologies. The 120-ECTS curriculum spans hydrogeology and hydrology, GIS and remote sensing in aquamatics, environmental statistics and modelling, CAD and Python programming, wastewater-treatment technologies, and two research-work modules leading to a final thesis. Coursework also covers fish resources and aquaculture, restoration of disturbed water ecosystems, blue-green infrastructure, and climate-change crisis management, building skills in monitoring, forecasting, and managing water resources and predicting climate-change scenarios. Graduates are prepared for work in state and municipal environmental bodies and as project-preparation or construction-project managers in environmental protection and water-management organisations.
