Overview
This programme prepares education masters able to organise the latest findings on physical education and sport, run independent research into them, and present conclusions on sports pedagogy, psychology, physiology and management to academic or professional audiences. Core modules include the methodology of educational research, research methods in sports physiology and psychology, e-learning technologies, motion control, kinesiogenomics and sports genetics, recreation strategies and applied statistics, built around a research project and practice, with electives such as sports nutrition or health promotion. Students learn to identify how physical education is changing at home and abroad and explain its ethical implications, conduct integrated research across education and sport, prepare recommendations for policymakers, and coordinate projects addressing emerging needs. Teaching uses lectures, workshops, concept mapping, case modelling, video lectures and document analysis, assessed through presentations, peer review, structured essays and colloquia. The university frames the programme around the physical, psychological and social development of the person within Lithuanian culture and society.
