Overview
This LLB (Honours) carries recognition from Mauritius's and the UK's leading legal bodies — the Mauritius Bar Association, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and the Bar Standards Board — meeting the first stage of professional legal training required before qualifying as a solicitor or barrister. Alongside legal analysis and evaluation skills, students explore the ethical, social, political, and historical contexts in which law operates.
The curriculum spans foundational subjects such as contract and tort, criminal law, equity and trusts, land law, EU law, and public law, alongside a range of optional modules that let students tailor their studies toward particular interests or career goals. Through lectures, exams, and applied coursework, students build both theoretical understanding and practical legal skills. Delivered full-time over three years at the Mauritius campus, graduates are well prepared for further professional legal training.
