Overview
This MSc addresses the constant evolution of cyber security threats, giving students a specialisation built in partnership with industry contacts in a field central to national security and the protection of private communications. Teaching covers both the technical detail of network security and the strategic and organisational issues surrounding it, delivered by academics with practitioner experience.
Students build hands-on ability across penetration testing and both wired and wireless attack techniques, moving on to defensive measures, critical evaluation of security models, and the management of full security-solution projects. Further coverage extends to building and examining secure systems, software, and hardware, plus authentication, cryptography, and related encryption methods. Offered full-time over one year or part-time over two years at the Mauritius campus, preparing graduates for specialist roles in a high-demand field.
