MBA General

This general MBA was created by the Commonwealth of Learning to make postgraduate business education more affordable and accessible, after recognising that traditional MBA delivery was often too costly and inflexible for working professionals. It is delivered through open and distance learning, letting learners study from wherever they are based. The curriculum builds core competence across leadership, strategy, finance, marketing and organisational development, giving graduates a broad foundation for moving into senior management across industries and markets. A consortium of partner institutions working with the Commonwealth of Learning oversees academic standards, so the qualification is designed to carry recognition beyond Mauritius for professionals who completed it while continuing to work. Because it stays general rather than specialised, it suits learners who want broad managerial grounding before committing to a particular business function.
