MSc Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning

Artificial intelligence now assists people in many ways, from simple voice commands and recognising faces to better medical diagnosis tools and cars that drive themselves. Machine learning is a key engine behind these uses, and this master's programme concentrates on its core principles so that students can understand and use current methods. The course puts weight on applied work. Students learn how machines are trained on real problems, where such systems struggle, and how to judge when AI and ML suit a field. Stated objectives include the mathematical and computing foundations, existing algorithms and techniques, data processing, and the design, coding and deployment of ML systems for autonomous machines. Possible careers are machine learning engineer, AI consultant or developer, data scientist, researcher and big data engineer. Study takes one year full-time or one and a half years part-time.
