Graduates of any discipline may apply for this MBA, which targets managers with experience in the middle ranks and professionals who hold senior logistics posts. It trains managers at the heart of logistics businesses to organise, plan, carry out and monitor the supply chains that move goods, information and services.
The curriculum links management, logistics, transport and supply chain modules into one platform. Emphasis falls on moving materials, goods and labour and on questions of transport and distribution, which can involve air, sea or road and relate to retail, passenger or freight. Students also look at decision support tools and models used in logistics, at planning and delivering logistics strategy, and at cutting the cost of operations.
Guest lecturers from the private and public sectors add to the teaching. The MBA takes two years part-time.
