PGDip in GEOGRAFIJA (2012)

This one-year specialist academic programme in geography at the University of Montenegro prepares graduates to take part in teaching geography to the older classes of primary school and in secondary school. Students draw on knowledge from the physical, regional and human geography sciences and learn to pass it on to pupils in a logical, systematic and understandable way. The programme also aims to equip graduates for work outside schools, in institutions such as state and local administration, the statistical office, national parks, the hydrometeorological and seismological institute, and bodies that deal with urban planning and design. Further outcomes are competence for lifelong learning, both for graduates and for their future pupils, and the ability to assess didactic-methodological theory and practice against relevant criteria and to design research in the geographic sciences. The programme page lists budget financing, meaning state-funded study places.
