MA/MS in Performance Practices

This master's acts as an incubator for artistic research centred on how the body figures in performance, and its wider ecology, based at the Home of Performance Practices in Arnhem, home to a community of thinkers from different disciplines who treat performance-making as a route toward more equitable societies. Students design their own research trajectory within an interdisciplinary, flexible structure, working across four intensive residential periods of three to five weeks each year in close dialogue with experienced lecturers and an international network of guests from the performing arts, and builds toward a portfolio of performances that probe, critically, how far practice can be de-disciplined, in a body of work entangled with performance itself.
