BA/BS in Econometrics / Economics - BSc2 - Double degree

This double-degree programme combines economic insight with quantitative econometric skills over four years. Econometrics focuses on the mathematical analysis of economic problems, while economics seeks a deeper understanding of their underlying nature; the programme covers both, addressing conceptual topics such as inflation, profit and turnover alongside quantitative areas such as risk, forecasting, uncertainty, probability and scenario analysis. Questions explored include how energy and commodity prices might evolve, how big data can improve advertising effectiveness, how changes in unemployment affect consumer spending, and what can prevent a renewed Eurozone crisis. By taking extra lectures and exams across an average of 66 credits per year rather than the standard 60, students complete two separate three-year bachelor's programmes and earn two degrees within four years.
