Overview

This one-year international relations master's track centres on the politics and economics shaping relations among China, Japan and Korea, examining the achievements, opportunities and challenges associated with East Asia's economic growth and its effects on global economics, politics and security. Teaching is delivered by international staff connected to the university's Centre for East Asian Studies and takes a multidisciplinary approach, with lectures and seminars led by specialists in international relations, history, economics and law. Students build knowledge of the region's largest economies alongside oral, writing and research skills applied to analysing developments from both a local and a global perspective, with opportunities for work placement and study abroad.
