MA/MS in Language and Cognition

The selective, two-year research master combines required courses covering core areas of linguistics with electives in communication studies, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, computational linguistics, developmental linguistics, theoretical linguistics, and neuro- and psycholinguistics, reflecting the research agendas of the Centre for Language and Cognition Groningen, alongside Groningen's Research School for Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience. Graduates gain research skills and a grounding in linguistic analysis, language development and language processing, preparing them either for a related PhD programme or for other research roles.
