Overview
Embedded systems form the building blocks of many modern systems, including medical devices, automobiles, industrial machinery, GPS systems, and a car's antilock braking system, where design is crucial to functionality. This Master's programme teaches students to address the growing complexity of today's embedded systems by combining hardware and software design from the outset, building engineering skills in chip technology, sensor integration, embedded software development, computer architecture, digital hardware design, real-time operating systems, and embedded artificial intelligence. Graduates are able to design embedded systems that meet requirements around latency, power use, reliability, and cost efficiency for different applications.
