MA/MS in Development and Rural Innovation

The master's starts from the idea that technology alone cannot fix societal problems, since innovation processes such as the shift toward greater sustainability and better food security are also fundamentally social processes, and trains students to take in the whole picture rather than a narrow technical view. It is a two-year social sciences programme aimed at students whose background is technical, in the life sciences, or in relevant management, and who have an interest in international development, building understanding of the social dimensions of transformation and the ability to work with knowledge processes across dynamic contexts worldwide.
