BA/BS in Visuell kunst og formidling

The bachelor programme in visual art and mediation explores artistic practice, materials, media and expression in well-equipped workshops and in a range of artistic settings. Students develop personal expression, creative skills, aesthetic awareness and critical analysis of their own and others' art projects. Practice is closely connected with art theory and aesthetics, so that the making of art is placed in a broader context. The programme is taught full time in Kristiansand and teaches students to lead creative processes with different groups and to communicate art. A semester abroad is possible in the fifth semester. Graduates can work in cultural schools, other cultural institutions, art mediation or as cultural advisers.
