— it helps other students.
The master programme in advanced clinical nursing (avansert klinisk allmennsykepleie) builds specialist competence for complex health needs, including somatic, mental health and substance-related problems. Students learn health-promoting, preventive, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative strategies, and build clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Teaching uses realistic scenarios, simulation and work in the university's clinical laboratory, and attendance is compulsory with at least 80 per cent presence.
The 120-credit programme is part-time and taught in person in Grimstad. It qualifies graduates to apply for public specialist approval, and suits roles in out-of-hours services, municipal institutions, home care, research and development. Municipalities, businesses and voluntary organisations can apply for wage subsidies to fund the education.
