Cert in Forfatterstudium

The writer's programme in Bø centres on creative writing, supported by lectures in literary theory and the practical side of the writing profession. Students work on their own fiction in workshops, close-read classic and modern prose, and attend seminars covering prose, poetry, drama and essays. Guest teachers from Norwegian publishing take part, and student texts are edited and discussed in class. The one-year programme (årsstudium) carries 60 ECTS credits and is full-time, taught on campus at Bø. Former students have worked as editors, in literary magazines and in cultural organisations, and many have published books with Norwegian publishers.
