Overview

This full-time master's programme in child health nursing, based in Bergen, prepares nurses to care for children and young patients in hospital and clinical settings. The programme is grounded in specialist knowledge of child patients, who are not small adults. Nursing graduates work on children's wards, newborn units and outpatient clinics. Some teaching is digital, and students collaborate with peers on other campuses. The programme awards a 120 ECTS master's degree over two years. A postgraduate add-on route is available for nurses who have completed a further-education course in anaesthetic, paediatric, intensive-care or surgical nursing. Applicants apply through the national admission system, and the page lists the admission window for each route.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Bachelor's degree in nursing and Norwegian authorisation as a nurse, plus at least one year of professional practice after authorisation. For the add-on route, completed further education in anaesthetic, paediatric, intensive-care or operating-theatre nursing. Study code 3017 (add-on 3013). No regional quota applies.
