The two-year master's in economics and administration, leading to the title siviløkonom, is a full-time 120-credit programme taught mainly in Norwegian and English. Students choose a specialisation in leadership, regional economics or marketing, alongside innovation and entrepreneurship, and the programme is offered at three campuses: Haugesund, Sogndal and Bergen. A student exchange is arranged in the second semester, with options in South Africa and a stay at the University of California, Berkeley, the latter combined with an internship in the San Francisco area for students from Bergen and Sogndal.
A completed master qualifies for entry to PhD studies, for example HVL's PhD programme in responsible innovation and regional development. Admission builds on a bachelor in economics and administration, with a grade average of at least C across the bachelor.
