AA/AS in Climate Smart Crop Production

Climate Smart Crop Production trains the next generation of growers to pair environmentally responsible farming methods with an entrepreneurial outlook. Students study how to plan and run operations under changing climate conditions, picking up a range of cultivation techniques aimed at keeping crops and yields sustainable over time. By graduation, learners can plan and execute climate-conscious growing operations, spot and cultivate higher-value crops, and recognise business openings within crop production. Entry follows the college's general requirements, though candidates who have already passed the CVQ units in Crop Production I and II may join directly provided they hold CSEC (or equivalent) passes in English A and Mathematics. Applicants aged 21 or over with three years of relevant agricultural experience can instead qualify through a required interview, and anyone missing the usual English and Maths passes undergoes a prior-learning assessment.
