Master of Science in Information Studies

This MSc in information studies is a graduate coursework programme of NTU's Wee Kim Wee School (WKWSCI), offered full-time and part-time. It joins theory and practice to prepare information professionals for a digital and AI-driven economy, ranging from library science through to analytics for information. Courses follow information through its whole life cycle, from creating and appraising it to capturing, organising, retrieving, analysing, using, preserving and managing it. Graduates are expected to develop leadership and analytical skills so they can identify what organisations need, organise and classify information, and set up and run information organisations and systems. Learning is applied. Students build digital libraries with open-source tools, draw insights from social media data, study how people use information and create accessible information products and services. The programme points graduates toward work in libraries, data-heavy information industries and analytics.
