The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme that combines Scripture, Christian doctrine and the study of missions. It helps students understand present-day developments in world missions and consider what these mean for the local church.
Field-oriented skills are taught alongside theory, preparing graduates for cross-cultural communication and service in mission settings.
Study is mainly on campus in Singapore, with many courses also offered online in an asynchronous format. International students can complete their first 10 courses online before relocating. Students without a theological degree take 60 credits across 20 courses over two years full-time, or up to six years part-time. Those with a theological degree take 30 credits across 10 courses, in one year full-time or up to three years part-time. Day, evening and intensive classes are available.
