BA/BS in Pre-school Teaching

Pre-school Teaching is a three-year professional first-cycle programme at the Faculty of Education of the University of Primorska. It prepares students to work as pre-school teachers and carries 180 ECTS credits. Study is offered full-time or part-time, and teaching takes place in Koper, Ptuj, Ljutomer and Slovenske Konjice. The syllabus mixes pedagogical foundations with activity-based subjects. Students take developmental and educational psychology, didactics, inclusion in pre-school education, and courses on children's health and motor development. Creative strands cover music, dance, visual arts, puppetry, theatre and film, alongside early learning of mathematics, science and language. Slovene and Italian language courses run through the first two years. Practical training appears in each of the three years, and electives, including a foreign language, let students shape part of their programme. Graduates receive the title diplomirani vzgojitelj predšolskih otrok (VS).
