BA/BS in Biologie

The bachelor in biology provides a generalist grounding in life sciences, from molecular and cellular topics to organisms and communities. Core themes include genetics, developmental biology and evolutionary biology, with a strong quantitative and technological component such as biochemistry and the physics of biology. Theory is backed by many practical classes from the first year, which also includes statistics applied to biology and foundational courses in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Elective courses are available from the second year. The programme runs for 6 semesters, carries 180 ECTS credits and prepares students for specialised master's study.
