Overview

The bachelor in prehistoric archaeology combines prehistory with the natural sciences, including Earth sciences, biology, physics and chemistry, to study societies without writing. The first year introduces the basic sciences, biostatistics and an introduction to prehistory. Years two and three cover Earth and life sciences, research methods, European and African prehistoric archaeology, excavation, free electives and a bachelor monograph. The programme runs for 3 years and carries 180 ECTS credits, and leads to the master in prehistoric archaeology and to a doctorate with a prehistoric archaeology option.
