Overview

The two-year associate degree programme in Automotive Technology, opened in 1976 as a vocational programme, trains qualified technical intermediate staff for motor vehicle manufacturing, the auto-parts industry and service workshops. Students study electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer and hybrid vehicle subjects in a multidisciplinary programme. Facilities include CAD, auto-electrics, engine renovation, diesel and petrol engine, wheel alignment and engine performance laboratories. Graduates may move on to four-year bachelor programmes through vertical transfer. Students complete an internship during the programme.

Admission Requirements: Central placement through ÖSYM TYT, score type TYT. 35 places; lowest placement score 286.4 (success rank 1,006,096).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
