The four-year Civil Engineering programme covers the planning, design, construction and supervision of buildings, dams, airports, bridges, roads and ports. The first year provides physics, chemistry, mathematics, computing and basic engineering to bring students with different backgrounds to the same level. In years two to four, compulsory courses include statics, strength of materials, structural analysis, reinforced concrete, fluid mechanics and geotechnical engineering. In the third and fourth years students add technical and social electives. Students may start internships from the fourth semester. Graduates learn to design experiments, analyse results and solve complex engineering problems within economic, environmental and safety constraints.

Admission Requirements: Central placement through ÖSYM YKS, score type SAY. 10 places; lowest placement score 328.9 (success rank 234,847). Minimum success rank condition of 300,000 in SAY.
