Psychology with Education

This psychology degree explores how people think, feel and behave, and it holds accreditation from the British Psychological Society. You study applied, social and clinical psychology alongside cognitive neuroscience and the biological basis of behaviour. The education strand gives the course its distinctive focus. Specialist modules look at educational psychology, development that does not follow the typical path, inclusion, and special educational needs and developmental difficulties. A compulsory work experience module gives you applied practice that supports your move into employment. Live briefs, designed with regional employers, present real problems for you to solve. Graduates who meet the accreditation requirement can apply for graduate chartered membership of the society, the first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist. Careers in education, support work and further training in psychology are all realistic next steps after the degree.
