BA/BS in Psychology, General

The psychology major at Angelo State draws students who are curious about human beings and their surroundings. Courses address all areas of psychology and how people behave, so students can tailor a plan to their specific interests. Both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science are offered. The arts plan adds language study and trims science, while the science plan adds science and research courses and drops the language requirement. Students can complete internships, conduct research projects and publish results in the department's research journal. The department says the skills learned prepare graduates for success in almost any field, with common paths in counseling, social work, mental health, justice, business and teaching. Prospective students can find the degree plan, course descriptions, faculty profiles and contact details for the department on the program page, along with scholarship information.
