Council on Social Work Education accreditation covers all of the School of Social Work's MSW programs. Options include Charles River Campus programs that are full time, part time or advanced standing, a hybrid option in Worcester taken part time, and an online option also taken part time.
Students are expected to become competent in ethical and professional behavior, human rights, along with social, economic and environmental justice, antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion in practice, research-informed practice, policy practice, and engaging, assessing, intervening and evaluating at every scale from single clients to whole communities.
The full-time route is two years on the Charles River Campus. The generalist year combines coursework with practicum education, and the advanced year does the same with different proportions. Part-time students on that campus finish in three years if summers are used or four years if they are not, taking two to three courses each term.
