BA/BS in Communication Disorders Sciences and Services

The Communicative Disorders bachelor of arts spans the science of speech and hearing, the care of hearing and balance, and therapy for speech and language problems. Undergraduates can emphasize either of the last two areas. The department also runs graduate programs: a communicative disorders M.S. and a doctorate in audiology. Being admitted to a program tied to licensure or credentialing does not ensure that a student ends up holding a license or credential. Outside agencies, not affiliated with the CSU, set those requirements and may change them at any time. Requirements might include proof of work authorization in the United States or a clear criminal background check. Students must determine whether they can satisfy them, and the CSU does not refund tuition, fees, or related costs to students who find afterward that they cannot.
