BA/BS in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology

This Biology bachelor of science option centers on ecology and evolution. Graduates can pursue jobs like ecologist or manager of a wildlife preserve, work in government bodies including land management and park agencies at federal and state level, and agriculture authorities, or join private organizations. Consulting on environmental impact reports is another route, and the option also lays groundwork for further graduate study. Every B.S. student completes the shared core and then the required and selective courses of the chosen option. Because the selective coursework is flexible, students are told to consult an advisor about their interests before picking upper division classes. A modified version suits those aiming for a teaching credential. Double majoring within the Biology department is not permitted for this option.
