BA/BS in Microbiological Sciences and Immunology

This page describes the Microbiology Option of the Bachelor of Science in Biology. The option prepares students for graduate programs or for careers as research associates in medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural or environmental biotechnology, medical devices, cosmetics, and food and water quality assurance. Students complete the shared B.S. core plus the option's required courses, and may not declare a double major or option within the Department of Biology. The catalog entry lists the required courses, general education expectations and campus requirements, so prospective students can plan their path through the major. Students should confirm current requirements and advising steps with the department before enrolling, since catalog details and course availability can change from one academic year to the next. Official program pages remain the best reference for the full list of requirements.
