AA/AS in Accounting and Related Services

The Associate in Science in Accounting qualifies students for beginning accounting roles across private companies, government agencies and banks. Students who want a bachelor's degree in accounting should check the requirements of the school they plan to transfer to. Graduates learn to operate an integrated accounting system manually and by computer, to develop and analyze information for both external and internal users, and to show competence in accounting theory and practice. General education coursework in areas such as mathematics is included in the degree plan. The credential is offered by Fresno City College in California. The published program map shows a single suggested pathway through the requirements and is intended for reference only. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor to build a personal education plan and to discuss transfer options, since every university sets its own course requirements.
