AA/AS in Engineering, General

Engineering at Contra Costa College prepares students to design the infrastructure and devices people rely on each day. The program is part of the Astronomy, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science department and offers the Engineering AS degree. Students develop a base in math, physics and fundamental engineering ideas while tackling on real-world problems. The flexible approach lets them sample several branches, from civil and mechanical to electrical and biomedical, before choosing a direction that fits their goals. The college highlights its new Science Center as a modern learning space for this work. The program serves students who plan to transfer to a university engineering school and those who want to enter the field directly, with support from faculty and campus services throughout. Prospective students can review the department page for faculty contacts, program maps and information about the support services available on campus.
