AA/AS in Culinary Arts and Related Services

The Culinary and Pastry Arts program lets students train alongside working professionals and build connections in the food industry. Part of the training is cooking for multi-course meal services that members of the public can attend. Classes are offered at all seven campuses, while practical kitchen labs are held at El Centro and at the college's dedicated hospitality center. The college presents the cost as far lower than private culinary schools. The college estimates associate tuition at $5,940 for county residents who attend full time over two years. Most required books, software and supplies are built into that price, although some programs add further costs. Prerequisites are not counted in the estimate, and a given credential may not start at every campus every semester.
