AA/AS in Computer Programming

The Programming area teaches students how to build and maintain software that runs on desktop, mobile and web platforms. Visual Basic.NET, Java and C++ are among the languages taught, giving graduates a practical toolkit. Students can pick from many certificates or associate degrees at seven campuses, and those who want to continue can pursue a four-year applied technology bachelor's focused on software. The college estimates associate tuition at $5,940 for county residents who attend full time over two years. Most required books, software and supplies are built into that price, although some programs add further costs. Prerequisites are not counted in the estimate, and a given credential may not start at every campus every semester.
