MA/MS in Curriculum and Instruction

The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction is delivered online and is aimed at educators who want to become teacher leaders. Coursework centres on using research to design curriculum and to teach effectively in varied and diverse classrooms. Graduates are expected to be able to apply research-based instructional practice and to make ethical decisions in the interest of all learners. The program is taught by faculty with classroom and principal experience, and the material blends theory with applied school settings. Students can combine the degree with teaching certification and choose a concentration such as general studies, middle-level subjects, early childhood, secondary or special education, or world languages. New terms begin throughout the year, and learners can work alongside a collaborative cohort focused on a chosen grade band.
