Overview
The Dance program, part of the Arts and Letters division, covers general education, preparation for an associate degree and transfer to upper-division study at colleges and universities.
Courses span many dance styles in small classes, so each dancer receives individual attention. Students learn the elements of dance.
Careers for dance majors include dancer, choreographer, designer, technician, stage manager, arts consultant, arts manager and teacher at the secondary and postsecondary levels. The department also is active in the community through shows put on for schools and special events, as well as workshops and master classes.
