AA/AS in Sociology

The Sociology degree takes a broad approach to the social side of human life, examining both small-scale, everyday interaction and large-scale global patterns. It leads to an Associate in Arts for Transfer. Students learn how sociological thinking applies to fields such as business, healthcare, policing, politics and world affairs, preparing them to keep working and studying as society changes. The program sits within the Society, Culture and Education meta major, and related degrees include psychology and social science. A course catalog and program map lay out the requirements. The faculty member for sociology also teaches anthropology. Financial aid, the College Promise and an annual scholarship cycle are described on the page, and enrollment services can be reached by phone or email for questions.
