AA/AS in Biological and Physical Sciences

Students in this broad degree look into the life sciences, chemistry, physics and math, strengthening their reasoning and problem solving. The curriculum mixes selected major courses with general education such as composition and ethnic studies, plus transferable electives. It works well for those heading toward science and technical majors, or toward jobs built on a science foundation. Possible outcomes include laboratory technician roles, preparation to teach science, or continued study at a four-year institution. The college posts a sample course sequence published for the current catalog cycle for this program. It shows one route through the requirements, but it is only a reference and not an official education plan. Students who want an individualized plan, and help choosing among the courses, should make an appointment with a Lemoore College counselor.
