AA/AS in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities

This flexible degree lets students sample literature, philosophy, art and history, and in doing so they sharpen how they write, speak and reason. Students learn to consider other perspectives, ask thoughtful questions and create as well as interpret. Coursework combines major selections with general education areas such as composition, critical thinking and oral communication. Graduates are ready to transfer to a university or to careers in schools, news media, community outreach, government service or the arts. The college posts a sample course sequence published for the current catalog cycle for this program. It shows one route through the requirements, but it is only a reference and not an official education plan. Students who want an individualized plan, and help choosing among the courses, should make an appointment with a Lemoore College counselor.
