AA/AS in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering

This degree trains students as systems specialists in automation. Integration is the central theme, meaning the combining of equipment like robots, into coordinated systems that load, sort, inspect and assemble parts. Students develop skills in setting up and running robots and other material-handling and processing technologies, and they learn to engineer and program equipment for integrated systems. Graduates may become systems design technicians, factory sales or service representatives, applications engineers, installation supervisors, systems integrators or production supervisors. Transfer arrangements exist through the college's university partnership. Completers earn a Associate of Applied Science degree. The program is listed in the 2026-2027 college catalog under curriculum code 6211, in the Engineering, Business & Information Technologies area. Prospective students can contact the college's advising team for help with admission, enrollment, transfer and graduation questions, and some programs offer credit for prior learning.
